Even though we NEVER had a winter for sledding, we are focused on improving our trail system for the coming years. Saturday March 26th we are getting together on the mountain to take down signage on Fox Hill Rd, recon our ‘soon to be’ NEW trail connecting to Sacandaga trails (assuming Saratoga County and DEC get all the paperwork completed), and finally, start replacing old signage with NEW around the system. Should only be a few hours to get what we want done. All hands are needed for trail work, since we had (0) grooming hours we need to register as much legitimate work as possible since it directly affects our State funding.
Keep in your schedule for our fall work party (obviously not during hunting season). We will be creating a re-route off of our property to Plank Rd. We will use that weekend to completely repair and clean up all of C8 to Plank Rd.
The groomers never left Middle Grove Rd (so sad), we will coordinate a night over the summer so we can get together and do some preventive maintenance and most importantly, get the new groomers (myself included) hands dirty.
Lastly, our final meeting is on Thursday April 7th…and Don’t forget Saturday is the BONFIRE at TINNEY’S TAVERN starting around 3pm!
